Gold Rush Vinyl (the record pressing plant of Austin, Texas) is looking for a full-time Press Operator to join our growing company. As a Press Operator, you will help Gold Rush Vinyl create high-quality records in a creative and competitive environment. After completing initial on-the-job training, the Press Operator will have the following duties:

  • Safely and efficiently run up to two (2) automated hydraulic presses per shift and monitor progress during each run
  • Log key data metrics at the end of every shift
  • Prepare jobs based on production orders and settings logs Inspect records as they come off the presses to ensure quality
  • Identify and report any infrastructure failures (ex: pipe leaks, broken parts)
  • Maintain the health of the machinery by performing daily maintenance
  • All other duties as requested by management

To be successful in this role, the Press Operator must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with teammates across multiple shifts
  • Safely lift raw materials weighing up to 55 pounds
  • Keep workspaces clean, especially around the machinery
  • Demonstrate respect for their teammates, vendors and clients

At Gold Rush Vinyl, you will be joining a small team of music-lovers and creative-thinkers. We value detail-oriented people with can-do attitudes. Hours / week: 35 – 40 hrs

Hourly rate: $14 – $16, with potential for pay increases as more training is completed
