Mentorship Program
Our mentorship program connects mentors and mentees across all corners of the vinyl industry—from mastering engineers and pressing plants, to label founders, marketing managers, prepress designers, and record-store owners.
Each pairing works on a project-based goal, designed to help mentees develop real-world skills while fostering professional growth and confidence. Projects may include career goals, technical skill building, portfolio development, and even soft skills, guided by the mentor’s expertise and the mentee’s interests.
Through regular check-ins, resources, and community support, this program creates a meaningful exchange of knowledge and empowers participants to take the next step in their journey—whether that’s advancing a career, launching a creative project, or making lasting industry connections.
We are mixing, mastering, and pressing into the future.

Research shows that while only about 60% of women in the music industry have ever had a mentor, over 90% say mentorship has positively impacted their careers. Yet, women remain underrepresented in key areas behind the scenes — with only 12% of studio and mastering engineers identifying as women, and fewer than 1 in 5 songwriters being women.
That’s why Women in Vinyl is proud to launch a mentorship program to close industry gaps and create stronger pathways for growth across the vinyl and music ecosystem. The program connects passionate individuals — from those eager to learn to seasoned professionals ready to give back — fostering meaningful connections, guidance, and shared insight. Together, we’re building a more inclusive, creative, and sustainable future for the industry.
