
Women in Vinyl Mentorship Program Terms & Conditions

The Women in Vinyl (WiV) Mentorship Program (“Program”) connects professionals across the vinyl and music ecosystem for education, skill-building, and community growth. Participation in the Program is voluntary and subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Voluntary Participation
Participation in the Program is entirely voluntary and does not create an employment, contractor, or supervisory relationship with Women in Vinyl, or between participants.
WiV provides the platform and matching framework but does not control, direct, or take responsibility for the specific interactions, advice, or outcomes between mentors and mentees.
No guarantee of professional advancement, employment, or compensation is offered or implied.
2. Non-Discrimination and Inclusion
Women in Vinyl is committed to maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and respectful environment.
We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital or familial status, or any other status protected by law.
We expect all Program participants to uphold these values and treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.
3. Professional Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy
All participants are expected to maintain professionalism and integrity throughout the Program.
Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or retaliation of any kind—whether verbal, written, or physical—is strictly prohibited.
Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to:
- Unwelcome or inappropriate physical contact or comments
- Derogatory remarks or jokes based on protected characteristics
- Intimidation, threats, or retaliation after reporting a concern
Any violations may result in immediate removal from the Program and referral to appropriate authorities if necessary.
4. Confidentiality and Boundaries
Discussions between mentors and mentees may involve personal or professional information.
Participants are encouraged to maintain confidentiality and agree to discuss only information they are comfortable sharing. Mentorship conversations should not be recorded or shared publicly without explicit consent from all parties involved.
Women in Vinyl does not monitor or moderate individual communications between participants and is not liable for any unauthorized disclosures or misuse of shared information.
5. Liability and Disclaimer
Women in Vinyl’s role is limited to facilitating introductions and providing general program structure.
WiV does not assume liability for:
- The actions, advice, or conduct of mentors or mentees
- Decisions or outcomes resulting from mentorship interactions
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation
Participants engage in the Program at their own risk and agree to hold Women in Vinyl, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates harmless from any claims or disputes that may arise.
6. Reporting Misconduct
Any participant who experiences or witnesses inappropriate behavior, discrimination, or harassment should report it promptly to the Women in Vinyl Team at [email protected].
Reports will be reviewed confidentially and addressed in accordance with organizational policies.
Retaliation against any individual who reports misconduct in good faith is strictly prohibited.
7. Program Changes and Termination
Women in Vinyl reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Mentorship Program at any time without notice.Participants may be removed from the Program at WiV’s discretion for violating these Terms or for conduct inconsistent with the organization’s values.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and any applicable state or local laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be handled in accordance with the appropriate jurisdiction within the United States, as determined by Women in Vinyl.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in or continuing engagement with the Women in Vinyl Mentorship Program, all mentors, mentees, and affiliates acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
