Known for his work with phenakistoscopes—one of the earliest forms of animation—Drew has adapted this pre-cinema technique for modern tools like record players and camera phones, blending psychedelic turntablism with traditional animation to create a unique, analog vision of the future. Drew’s work has earned him collaborations with major artists like John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, Olivia Rodrigo, and Dua Lipa. In 2024, he had a banner year, with over 65 incredible projects, including iconic titles like The Lion King, Frozen, Glass Animals, Beetlejuice, and The Nightmare Before Christmas dominating turntables and record stores worldwide.Join us as we chat with Drew about his journey from art school to the Super Bowl, how he brought the Zoetrope back to life, and his thoughts on blending vintage animation with modern technology.
